A truck that parks on your block every night is a pattern. A single report is a complaint; repeated reports at the same location signal a chronic violation and trigger priority enforcement. If you see the same truck parked illegally night after night:

• File each time. Each report adds to the location's complaint history.
• Note the license plate if possible. The city can track plate history and cross-reference with summons records.
• Be consistent with timing and location. Reports that all point to the same truck and the same block are more powerful than isolated complaints.
• Escalate if nothing changes. Contact your community board directly if the truck continues after repeated 311 reports. Boards can pressure the city for active enforcement.

A strong photo makes enforcement faster:

• Capture the vehicle and the street context. Include the truck in the frame with enough of the street visible to show address numbers or cross streets.
