The rule
Construction work, including noise-generating activities, is restricted to 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekdays. Work outside these hours requires a special after-hours variance permit from DOB. Weekend work also requires a variance.

- construction equipment running on weekends without posted after-hours variance
- jackhammer, drilling, or heavy machinery use outside permitted hours
