Parking — Blocking an Intersection (Box Violation)

No vehicle shall stop, stand, or park within an intersection. No vehicle shall enter an intersection or marked crosswalk unless there is sufficient space on the other side to accommodate the vehicle without obstructing the passage of cross traffic or pedestrians.

1. Photograph the vehicle, plate, and violation context (signs, hydrant, crosswalk).
2. Note the address and time; parking complaints are location- and time-sensitive.
3. File at portal.311.nyc.gov under Parking, or call 311.
4. Attach your photo; include plate, color, and make if the plate is obscured.
5. Save your Service Request Number to track NYPD Traffic or DOT response.
